Code of conduct house Furna

A warm welcome! We’re happy that you’ve decided to spend your holidays at Chalet Oberbörtji 9. Here are a couple of ground rules and tips.

Pandemic, Health care, BAG (Federal Office of Public Health) See Link to BAG
We cleaned the house to the best of one’s knowledge and belief. Our guests are responsible for compliance with the current regulations of the BAG (Federal Office of Public Health) during the stay.

Parking
Please don’t park any vehicles on the roads and paths in the neighbourhood. Use the parking spot in the garage and if you have two vehicles, park one on the visitor’s parking spot just before the left-hand turn up into the neighbourhood. (About 200 metres from the house)
Just use the remote control or the key for the garage on your keychain to open the door.
Please only open the garage door with the lever in emergency situations!

Keeping the peace
Every guest is responsible for keeping the noise inside and around the house to an acceptable and reasonable level.
Parties are not permitted.
Radio, TV, Music, etc. should be played at a volume that does not bother the neighbours.
In Switzerland between 10 pm and 7 am is ‘Quiet Time’. Try to avoid loud noise.

Your neighbours will be thankful!
Guests, not booked in the house, are not allowed to stay overnight without prior approval of the owner.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the chalet.
If you smoke on the terrace or seating area, please use and tidy up the ashtrays and use the normal refuse bins.

Pets
Pets and cats are not permitted in the chalet.

Cooking
Always use the extractor fan when you are cooking and tip a window somewhere in the house, this helps the steam to dissipate.

If the wood-burning stove is on, avoid smoke being directed back into the house.

Don’t put the knives from the chopping block into the dishwasher and wash separately.

Also, don’t put the plates and bowls with the gold edges into the microwave!

Breakage of glass

In order to avoid thermal tensions in the window glass and sudden jumping, no objects (dark suitcases, bags) must be deposited in front of the windows.

Electricity
Please remember to switch off the stove, oven, microwave, lights, and TV before you leave the house. You will find the main switch behind the TV.

Shower
Please keep the shower curtain closed while showering in order to prevent water damage.

Satellite / TV
There are two controls, the TV – control (dark) and satellite – control (silver).

Important: Switch on both boxes with the controls and wait (it might need a bit of patience) for a channel to be received. If you press on buttons too urgently, settings might be changed.

The volume can be changed with both controls, the channels ONLY with the silver one.

Waste
Waste can only be disposed of in closed toll-based bags that are issued by the town of Furna. We make sure, that you have enough bags in reserve. The waste must be deposited nearby the last building before the church (there is a central drop-off location there). We will do that for you. When you are ready to depart just put the bags near the entrance area.

Since composting at this altitude generally does not work, especially in winter, we have provided you with an extra container with a bag for the organic kitchen waste. Please also dispose of this bag in the toll-based waste bag.

You can download the information on the following links: Abfall Merkblatt and Abfall Reglement.

Departure
Normally you should leave by 11.am on the day of departure unless you agree with us otherwise.

Clean-Up
The chalet must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Please pay attention to the following:

  • Oven, microwave and stove must be clean and switched off
  • Fridge must be emptied and cleaned
  • Cutlery, and crockery must be cleaned and tidied away
  • Linens removed and left in the bathroom along with towels
  • Furniture must be back in its usual position
  • Clothes and any remaining food must be taken with you
  • Sauna: Remove residual water in the Finarium container and close valve again
  • Empty the chimney ash in the iron container provided for this purpose
  • Don’t forget to take the various chargers and cables with you on departure.
  • Deposit waste near the entrance area.

Thank you very much for your help and consideration. Please let us know if anything is lost or breaks.

We hope you have a lovely stay.
