
Welcome to Chalet Oberbörtji 9 – Guest Information
We’re delighted that you’ve chosen to spend your holidays with us. Please read these instructions carefully to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay.
1. Health & BAG (Federal Office of Public Health)
The chalet has been cleaned to the best of our knowledge. Guests are responsible for complying with the current regulations of the BAG during their stay.

2. Parking

Do not park on roads or paths.

Use the garage parking spot. If you have a second vehicle, use the visitor’s spot about 200 metres before the left-hand turn into the neighbourhood.

Garage: Use the remote or key on your keychain. Do not use the lever except in emergencies.
3. Noise & Neighbours
-
Keep noise levels reasonable inside and outside the chalet.

Parties are prohibited.
-
Radios, TVs, and music must not disturb neighbours.

Quiet hours: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am.

Overnight guests not booked in the chalet are only allowed with prior owner approval.
4. Smoking
-
No smoking inside the chalet.
-
Outside: Use ashtrays and dispose of cigarette waste in normal bins.
5. Pets
-
Pets, including cats, are not allowed in the chalet.
6. Cooking & Kitchen Safety

Use the extractor fan and slightly open a window.
-
Wood-burning stove: Avoid directing smoke into the house.

Do not put knives from the chopping block in the dishwasher. Wash separately.
-
Do not put plates or bowls with gold edges in the microwave.
Safety & Liability: Guests use kitchen appliances and stove at their own risk. We are not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages arising from use of the kitchen or cooking appliances.
7. Glass & Windows

Avoid thermal shock: Do not place heavy or dark objects in front of windows.
Safety Note: Guests are responsible for avoiding accidents. We do not assume liability for injuries from broken glass or objects near windows.
8. Electricity

Switch off stove, oven, microwave, lights, TV before leaving.

Main switch is located behind the TV.
Liability: Guests are responsible for proper use of electrical appliances. We are not liable for accidents, burns, or fires caused by misuse.
9. Shower

Keep the shower curtain closed to prevent water damage.
Liability: Guests use bathrooms at their own risk; we are not liable for slips or water-related injuries.
10. Satellite / TV
-
Two controls: TV (dark), Satellite (silver).

Turn on both boxes and wait for channels. Press buttons carefully.

Volume: both controls; Channels: silver control only.
11. Waste
-
Dispose of waste in closed, toll-based bags provided.

Drop-off: last building before the church.
-
Compost: Use the provided container for organic kitchen waste. Dispose of this bag in a toll-based waste bag.
12. Departure & Clean-Up
Before leaving:

Clean oven, stove, microwave

Empty and clean fridge
-
Wash and tidy cutlery and crockery
-
Remove linens and towels
-
Return furniture to its original position
-
Take all personal belongings, chargers, and cables

Sauna: Remove residual water and close valve

Empty chimney ash in the provided container
-
Deposit waste near the entrance
Departure time: 11:00 am unless agreed otherwise.
13. Sauna

Use the sauna only as instructed.

Remove residual water in the Finarium container after use.

Guests use the sauna at their own risk; we are not liable for burns, slips, or other injuries.
14. Liability / Legal Notice
By staying at Chalet Oberbörtji 9, guests acknowledge that Karl & Christina Kistler are not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages occurring:

Inside the chalet
-
In the kitchen, bathroom, or sauna

Through the use of household appliances, electrical devices, or the wood-burning stove
-
On stairs, terraces, or around the property
Guests assume responsibility for their own safety and for the supervision of children or dependents.
We strongly recommend careful use of all equipment and adherence to these rules to prevent accidents.
15. Final Note
Thank you for your cooperation. Please report lost or broken items immediately.
